I had regular issues with dust/skin allergies for nearly five years and been to various skin specialist’s in Melbourne. I had tried every thing modern medicine could offer to diagnose and treat – As a final option I opted for Ayurveda and approached Dr Kushagra’s clinic. He was able to advice me in detail in regards to the treatment, Diet plans and I found the treatment most effective as it drastically improved my condition within three months. I highly recommend Dr Kushagra and his clinic for treatment of Allergies and Hay fever.

A lot of people in this generation are living a very fast paced life. Each day seems to be packed with a lot of things to do. These things are barely humanly possible to do in 24 hours. People tend to not leave these things undone as the next day will be packed with its own activities. This in the long run leads people to attach little value to sleep and suffer from its lack thereof. Also the body gets accustomed to such lifestyle that sleep hardly comes even when there is nothing to do but sleep at night. It is evident that this situation is majorly caused by one’s lifestyle. Since Ayurveda employs lifestyle remedies to imbalance situations it is the natural alternative medicine that should be sought to cure insomnia. As per Ayurveda, there are three different types of insomnia. Transient insomnia which lasts from one night to a few weeks, the root cause for this type of insomnia is stress, anxiety or jet lag. Acute insomnia has a possible duration of a period of two weeks to a month. Chronic insomnia generally persists over a period of at least six months. There are herbal medicines that could […]
Everyone who has just read, heard or seen where Ayurvedic medicine is practiced always hears the words elemental substances or doshas. A handful of them usually find it difficult to grasp the meaning of these words at first. Some even find it hard to understand the reasoning behind building medical practices on the bases of such beliefs. According to Ayurveda, each of us has a unique combination of three elemental substances in our bodies. These elemental substances are called Dosha and consist of Vata, Pitta and Kapha. The specific combinations of these Dosha that we possess determine our body types, and even our temperaments. Now that the meaning has been made clear, let us try to give some logical explanations as to why the belief holds. The ancient seers asserted that only substance or matter can produce an effect. If you can experience something then this experience occurs because you have come in contact with substance or matter. These seers conceived of substance or matter as having five forms. Today we say these are the continuum between energy and mass. Ultimately everything is a form of energy; conversely, all states of mass have some form of energy. This is some […]
Ayurvedic Medicine which is another way of saying Ayurveda is a whole-body healing system that has been around for a very long time, before man started counting the days in AD. It has its roots in Asia but as you can imagine, it is practiced on every habitable continent of the planet. Its modus operandi is based on the simple mental acceptance of the claim that health and wellness are directly related to the relationship between the mind, body and spirit, hence the need to strike a balance between them. The practice of Ayurvedic medicine is aligns more with good health with an efficacy for remedying diseases. Average humans hope to wake up to see the light of the next day every time they go to bed at night. A lot if not all of us fear death so we do everything in our power to stay alive. Things like eat good food, take drugs, drink good water, and live in a clean environment and so on. But as humans do all these to avoid death? Not very much though as there is this lingering fear that creeps up in their minds, every once in a while in a very […]
Ayurveda considers every person unique Every person in the world is unique. Occupation wise, behavior wise and what not. But the basic understanding that we choose to defy is that everyone’s body is different. Each body reacts different to different circumstances and hence even though your problem might be same, the consultation and the type of treatment should be unique. That is what Ayurveda and Ayurvedic doctor endorses. There is no staple plan for everyone that will achieve weight loss or muscle gain and vice versa. The basic aspect that we need to understand in Ayurvedic treatments are that even though the techniques may be same, their methodology implemented for every person is different. There are people who seek advices to people who have already achieved the feat that they wish to achieve. Suppose we consider that ‘A’ person has lost 10 kg weight by adopting a particular plan and ‘B’ also wishes to do the same and hence ‘B’ blindly follows the plan ‘A’ followed, the results might be quite distinct. In order to get rid of physical pain, the first thing that should be looked after is your mental health which in some experiences can be neglected. Your mental health […]

Vata, Pitta, Kapha are the three doshas. They destroy and support (sustain, maintain) the body when they are abnormal and normal respectively. Reference: Ashtang Hriday The doshas are material substances present in the body always, they have their own definite pramana (quantity), guna (quality) and Karma (functions). When they are normal (avikrit) they attend to different functions of the body and so maintain it. They have tendency to become abnormal (vikrit) undergoing increase (vruddhi) or decrease (kshay) in their quantity, one or more of their qualities and functions. When they become abnormal they vitiate their places of dwelling-the dhatus (tissues); because of this tendency of vitiation, they are called doshas or vitiators.

As humans, we spend energy and time in exchange for our means of survival, which is money. As energy is used up the body feels weak and sometimes pain is felt in some parts of the body. In order to take care of this pain, pharmaceutical companies have come up with painkillers. These drugs are everywhere and easily affordable hence they are prone to misuse and abuse. When abused, such drugs can lead to different side effects which can be either mild or severe. Mild side effects include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, usually caused by the way the drug interacts with opioid receptors along the digestive tract. The long-term effects depend on how the drug is taken. Crushing and injecting the tablet into the bloodstream can cause long-term heart damage and other cardiovascular issues, and can increase the likelihood of a heart attack. Not to mention the risks of contracting blood-borne diseases if the condition under which injection was done is non-sterile. What then is the alternative to painkillers since the feeling of pain cannot be totally eradicated? Ayurveda is a form of alternative medicine that involves the holistic wellness of man. Detox, as used in this post, does not refer to the elimination of nicotine or alcohol or any other drug substance from the body as the term used to mean. Here we refer to the more modern meaning of the term which involves removal of generally bad stuff from the human system. These unwanted things include heavy metals, chemical additives in food, allergens and every other toxin that is present in the things we consume daily such as food, water, and air. Detoxification can be used to either cleanse the system or to lose weight and it heavily relies on having and sticking to an effective detox diet plan. The human body is itself an exceptional detoxifier because it is constantly cleansing the body of unwanted products such as carbon dioxide and so on. The body also does this by the process of metabolism and some other biological means such as excretion. The body can sometimes ingest something that it cannot process and cannot excrete which may result in the illness of the individual that took in the substance. This is to say that sometimes without aid the human cleansing system can fail. Ayurvedic Medicine promises to minimize the risk […]
